South Dakota

สวัสดีครับ หลังจากที่หายไปเดือนกว่าๆ วันนี้ขอกลับมาพาทุกท่านไปทัวร์ South Dakota ก็แล้วกันนะครับ

รัฐขนาดไม่ใหญ่ไม่เล็ก และอยู่เกือบจะตรงกลางของอเมริกานี้ แทบจะเรียกไ้ด้ว่า "ไม่มีอะไรเลย" สำหรับนักท่องเที่ยวอย่างเราๆ

นอกจากไอ้สิ่งนี้ครับ

Mount Rushmore ดูเหมือนจะกลายเป็นสัญลักษณ์ของ South Dakota ไปแ้ล้ว รูปสลักของอดีตประธานาธิบดีทั้งสี่คนนี้ถูกสร้างมาแล้วประมาณ 65 ปี (เพื่อต้องการดึงดูดนักท่องเที่ยวโดยเฉพาะ เนื่องจากความไม่มีอะไรเลยของรัฐนี้เนี่ยแหละ)

อ้อ ส่วนทั้งสี่ท่านก็คือ George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt แล้วก็ Abraham Lincoln ตามลำดับจากซ้ายไปขวา ส่วนคุณงามความดีของแต่ละท่านนี่ ก็คงไม่ขอกล่าวไว้ ณ ที่นี้นะครับ

จริงๆแล้วแถวนั้นก็มีสถานที่ที่น่าสนใจอยู่อีกที่หนึ่ง ที่เรียกว่า crazy horse
อภิมหาเมกะโปรเจกต์อันนี้ คือโครงการที่จะแกะสลักภูเขา "ทั้งลูก" ให้เป็นรูปร่างอย่างที่เห็นในรูปนั่นล่ะครับ แต่เนื่องด้วยโครงการนี้เป็นโครงการ "ในครัวเรือน" บริหารจัดการโดยครอบครัวเพียงครอบครัวเดียว และไม่ยอมรับเงินช่วยเหลือจากทางรัฐบาลอีกด้วย ตอนนี้ก็เลยได้แค่ส่วนหัวอย่างที่เห็นนี่แหละครับ
